Ceol Aneas Traditional Irish Music Sessions at East Street Cafe & Bar

Join us at East Street, in Church Street, have a delicious vegetarian meal, a few drinks. You will hear some fabulous traditional Irish music and the "craic" (fun) will continue on till late.

Musicians will be gathering in Nelson for the Ceol Aneas festival. A long weekend of mighty traditional Irish music with festival guests and other musicians skilled in the tradition all in fine form.

Traditional Irish music sessions will be on at East Street Cafe and Bar and also at The Free House until late. Sessions may start up at any time but you can be sure to find them from 8pm on Friday and Saturday and after 9.30 on Sunday following on from the Ceol Aneas concert at the Theatre Royal.

A singing session on Saturday from 4 to 6 pm will be held at Cafe Affair. A family friendly, free, event led by Michael Mackinnon. Singers and all welcome.

An Irish music session is like a musical conversation with a gathering of musicians "in celebration of the music". While it's not really a public performance, the energy and atmosphere 'craic' created by the musicians is fantastic entertainment.
Nelson is the place to be for trad. Irish music over the holiday long weekend.
